Tina Palmero has nearly 30 years of regulatory experience working on environmental and clean energy policy issues. Tina began her career at the PSC in 1988 as a Transmission
Facilities Analyst responsible for the review of environmental impacts associated with the siting and construction of electric and gas transmission facilities and electric generation plants. She subsequently became involved in the initial development of New York’s Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) Program in 2003 and now leads the Office of Clean Energy at the DPS to help promote the progress of New York’s “Reforming the Energy Vision”, a comprehensive plan to reform New York’s power industry. The Office of Clean Energy has oversight responsibilities for utility energy efficiency programs; the $5 billion, 10- year Clean Energy Fund administered by NYSERDA; and the State’s “50 by30” Clean Energy Standard that aims to increase renewable energy in the State.

Tina also served as Staff Chair for the Energy Resources and Environment Committee for the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) from 2005-2010 and on the Staff Working Group during the initial development of the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI), a multi-state collaborative formed in 2003 to address climate change.
