On June 14, 2016 at New York Energy Week, the Urban Future Lab / ACRE will launch the 2016 Urban Future Competition, the premier Smart Cities and Smart Grid business competition in New York. Startups with transformative business solutions for global urban energy and sustainability will compete to pitch their solutions to a jury of investors, market partners and customers to win two $25,000 awards, one for each category: Smart Cities and Smart Grid. Winners will also join as members of the ACRE incubator and will be given the opportunity to meet with mentors from the strategic partners and sponsors, including the Smart Grid teams at the largest utilities in NY. The Competition winners will be announced  at the September Greentech Media REV Future Conference. Starting on June 14, see ufl.nyc for more information and to apply.

Attend the Launch at NYEW on June 14th at the Urban Future Lab to learn more about the work of the ACRE incubator at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering, to learn about the Competition, and to hear from a panel of Smart Cities and Smart Grid industry leaders and entrepreneurs about the most pressing market needs and opportunities. Startup founders - such as ACRE companies Opus One Solutions, Sealed, Voltaiq and Voyage Control - will share their success stories. The panel will be followed by a networking reception.
