LED LIGHTING SHOWROOM WORKSHOP & RECEPTION PASSHOLDER EXCLUSIVE
Limited Capacity filling up

Join Energy Focus, the exclusive tubular LED partner of the USGBC and a leader in military lighting retrofit for an eventful, knowledgeable, and lighthearted afternoon program at the Empire State Building.  During this official New York Energy Week LED technology tour and reception with Energy Focus, the latest industry trend will be put on display where the focus will feature the mechanics of LED technology and much beyond.

1:30PM – 2:00PM - Registration
Registration and light bites provided by Energy Focus. Arrive on time to maximize networking!

2:00PM – 2:45PM - Military & NASA LED R&D – "How It All Started and Where It Is Going"
When the U.S. Navy and NASA approached Energy Focus on the R&D of alternative energy efficient lighting sources, not only were awarded the DARPA contract but from there, also gained great insight on the impact of LED lighting on energy efficiency.

2:45PM – 3:30PM - Mechanics of Today's LED – "See the Gut of Quality"
Constantly at the forefront of pushing the barriers on industry standards and regulations: our best-in-class TLEDs ranges from 120lm/W to 150lm/W with more performance values added including flicker-free and effective heat dissipation circuitry. This all contributes to a well-designed system that operates great thermal management that results in a much longer product lifetime

3:30PM – 4:15PM – Healthy Lighting – "The Shocking Discovery of Lighting and Health"
Even though you don’t see it, both fluorescents and most LED lights flicker at rates that seem imperceptible to the eye. The brain has simply taught the eye to code the signal as continuous. Nevertheless, this flickering does exist and has been scientifically proven to cause headaches and learning disabilities.

4:15PM – 6:00PM – Happy Hour Reception

- Product demonstrations (hands on and videos)
- Research result presentations and videos
- Light bites and beverages
- Eventful afternoon with industry experts on lighting, health, and building designs
